If there is an aerosol or mousse issue, please see the below recommendations.

  • Below are some solutions the Brand Development team has found helpful when experiencing challenges with aerosol products:
To avoid chronic clogging issues, we always recommend shaking the product thoroughly before each use. Ingredients can separate, causing the small straw inside to pull the heaviest contents to the top, resulting in a clog. The longer a product sits without use, the more likely this is to happen. We find that shaking the product before each use helps to eliminate continual issues with clogging.
For an aerosol product that is currently clogged, you might also try the following troubleshooting tip: if the nozzle or product is not spraying correctly, remove it from the can and soak it in hot water. While the nozzle is off the can, run the stem under hot water for two minutes, then shake the can well and reattach the nozzle. In addition, if your spray continues to build up around the nozzle, try cleaning the nozzle after each use so the residue does not dry, causing clogs.

  • Below are some solutions that the Brand Development team has found helpful when experiencing challenges with mousse products:
For best results, our mousse canisters are designed to dispense product when the nozzle is pointed upside down, toward the ground. Dispensing in an upright or 90-degree position may lead to issues with product consistency or clogging. Additionally, all mousse products must also be shaken thoroughly before each use.

  • To release the liter size pump from its locked position, first ensure that the base of the pump is securely screwed onto the neck of the bottle. Then, turn the pump nozzle to the left(counterclockwise) until the pump has become fully unwound.  If the pump nozzle has not released, remove the entire pump from the bottle, hold the stem with one hand, and twist the pump to the left (counterclockwise) with the other hand.
